Building Concentration and Finger Skills — Ms Faraji, Grade 1 Girls

Little hands were busy today! ✂️🖐️

First we cut coloured paper into small pieces, then used glue to decorate our lovely apple and pear shapes with colourful scraps! 🎨😍

Behind this simple game was plenty of important learning:

✂️ Strengthening fine motor skills and finger muscles.

👀 Improving hand–eye coordination.

🧠 Developing attention, concentration and motor planning.

🤏 Practising controlled, precise hand movements.

✏️ Finally, preparing hands to hold a pencil and write.

Sometimes the journey to writing begins with scissors, a little glue and a few pieces of coloured paper! 🍎
