Learning beyond classroom walls

Learning does not always happen at a desk or within the pages of a book.

Sometimes the schoolyard, garden and nature make the best classroom, where students understand concepts more deeply through observing, touching, questioning and experiencing.

During this activity, students went outdoors, observed nature, examined plants, took notes and connected their learning with a real experience.
